The 7th Heaven Express Chairlift area is a wonderful open alpine ski area on the Southeastern side of Blackcomb Mountain.  7th Heaven is known for its long big Blue runs—Panorama, Cloud Nine, and Hugh’s Heaven. In between these runs you’ll find plenty of open alpine off-piste skiing and glade skiing below the tree line.

There are also many Black run options, including:

You can access the bottom of the 7th Heaven Express Chairlift via two long, narrow Green runs: 7th Avenue (from the top of the Jersey Cream Express Chairlift) and Expressway (from the Rendezvous Lodge area).

The 7th Heaven Express Chairlift also provides access to:

To exit the 7th Heaven area, take either Sunset Boulevard (Green) out from below the bottom of the chairlift or follow Southside Green (Green) out from the top. You can also take Glacier Drive (Black) over the ridge behind Horstman Hut to exit into the Glacier Express Chairlift Area.

NOTE: A large part of the 7th Heaven area is in the open alpine, so it can be very challenging if weather, visibility and/or snow conditions are poor. The 7th Heaven Express Chairlift also gets very busy on good snow/weather days and on weekends.

Skill Level
  • Given the Big Blues and the Black glade skiing in the 7th Heaven area it is ideally suited for intermediate and advanced skiers.

  • There is only one Green run (Southside Green) for beginners and exits out towards the to of the Jersey Cream Express Chairlift area.

Lodges/Huts
  • Horstman Hut: Horstman Hut is a small hut at the top of the 7th Heaven Express Chairlift. It offers limited food, snack, and drink options and has a small indoor sitting area. On a nice day, the deck at Horstman Hut offers one of the most beautiful views in all of Whistler Blackcomb. There are also washrooms in a small building next to the hut.

Main Routes
  • Southside Green: Southside Green is the main Green route in the 7th Heaven Area.   However it only runs through the upper half of this area and then exits towards the Jersey Cream area and the Rendezvous Lodge.

  • Panorama, Cloud Nine or Hugh’s Heaven: These three wide, steep Blues all run down from the top to the bottom of the 7th Heaven area.
