Blackcomb Upper Frontside Area
The Upper Frontside of Blackcomb. Source: Whistler Blackcomb Trail Map
The Blackcomb Upper Frontside is the area on Blackcomb above the Blackcomb Gondola Mid Station and the top of the Excalibur Gondola, and below Rendezvous Lodge. This area is accessible via the Excelerator Express Chairlift and the top section of the Blackcomb Gondola.
The Blackcomb Upper Frontside includes a main Green run, numerous Blue runs, and some short Black runs. This area is often overlooked by skiers and boarders who are rushing to get into the alpine zone. As a result, when the alpine areas are very busy, the Blackcomb Frontside can be a great place to ski and board.
Skill Level
-
Given the combination of Blue and Black runs in this area, it is a good area for intermediate and expert skiers and boarders.
-
With only one Green run - Green Line - this area offers only limited options for beginners.
