Harmony Express Chairlift Area

The Harmony Express Chairlift area is one of the two large alpine bowl areas to the Southeast of Whistler Peak. It is located between the Symphony Express Chairlift area to the East and Glacier Bowl/the Emerald Express Chairlift area to the West. Access to this area is mainly provided by the Harmony Express Chairlift, although you can also access part of it from the Glacier Bowl T-Bars.
This area has two main Blue runs, but it is better known for its Black runs and Double-Black chutes, drops, and faces. It is ideally suited for intermediate or expert skiers. On a day with fresh snow, this is where many locals head at the start of the day to look for fresh tracks.
NOTE: A lot of Harmony Bowl is in the alpine, so skiing can be difficult if visibility is poor. On a good snow day and most weekends, the bottom of the Harmony Express Chairlift can be very busy as both locals and visitors head to this area—so be prepared for a long wait in line.

Lodges / Huts
-
Harmony Base Shack: This is a small food shack at the base of Harmony that used to offer drinks and basic food and snacks. This hut has not been open in recent years. It is unclear if it will open again.
-
Harmony Hut: This is a small hut at the top of the Harmony Express Chairlift. It used to offer warm drinks and some snacks but does not have an inside sitting area. There are washrooms in a small building behind the hut. Similar to the base shack, this hut has not been open in recent years. It is unclear if it will open again.
Main Routes
-
Harmony Ridge: Harmony Ridge is one of the two main Blue routes in the Harmony Express Chairlift area. It runs from Pika’s Traverse (Green) down along the top of Harmony Ridge on the right side (looking downhill) of Harmony Bowl and ends at the bottom of the Harmony Express Chairlift.
-
Harmony Piste – GS Run: This is the other main Blue route in Harmony Bowl. It starts about halfway down Pika’s Traverse (Green) and then curves through Harmony Bowl, ending on Sidewinder (Green), which leads over to the bottom of the Emerald Express Chairlift. Near the bottom, you can turn right (looking downhill) and go down the steep lower part of GS Run (Blue) to the bottom of the Harmony Express Chairlift.
NOTE: There is no main Green run from the top of the Harmony Express Chairlift to the chairlift base. Pika’s Traverse (Green) starts at the top of the Harmony Express Chairlift but then curves across the top of the Harmony area to exit towards the Roundhouse Lodge area.
